The regenerative capacity of skin gets reduced with age, resulting in thinness and increased fragility. The ability of the epidermis to renew itself resides on stem and progenitor cells of the basal layer. These are controlled by specific transcription factors that are regulated at the epigenetic level. Based on these mechanisms, the last development of Lipotec targets cell reprogramming: the regenerative potential of the skin is reactivated which can contribute to achieve a more radiant and rejuvenated look.
