Formulation Lab®

  • Practical Formulation Sessions

For R&D lab staff only: These free to attend, interactive training sessions will help you learn the secrets to create winning formulations, from personal care ingredient experts.

In 2017 visitors were trained by the likes of Ashland, Gattefossé, Evonic, Grant Industires, Nikko Chemicals and more, in a purpose built fully equipped laboratory on the show floor.

Topics included emulsifier-free concealer, micellar technology and creating fresh textures with bi-gel.

  • Why attend a Formulation Lab® session?

During the session you will learn practical techniques from your lab teacher who will:

    • impart their formulation expertise
    • show you how to achieve different outcomes using the same ingredient
    • provide helpful hints and tips
    • give practical advice to help you develop unique solutions

Places are limited to R&D professionals and those with a laboratory background.

  • Could you lead a Formulation Lab® session?

Sometimes ingredients can be formulated in several different ways to achieve different outcomes, it just takes the right knowledge. Share your expertise in formulation and showcase your unique creations to an audience of potential new clients in our purpose built Formulation Lab® on the show floor.

When taking part it is advisable to showcase something with a noticeable sensory or visual impact to "wow" the delegates. Sessions are interactive, so you must factor in some time for your lab participants to mix the formulations for themselves.
