Jeju black pine grows along the coast of island. It's Bark is black due to strong sea breeze and salt. Using pine tree leaf to cover foods as preservative is still quite common in Korea. it acts as anti-microbial agent due to it’s richness in Terpene, a-pinene, flavonoids and proanthoxyanidin. Sustainably sourced pine leaf is now on the market.
